This post, originally scheduled for Sun 24th March, was interrupted by illness…. Now I am Back in the Fold !! However I have been given cause for reflection, which has brought about a decision explained at the foot of this post…..

Over the last couple of weeks I have read a-plenty in lieu of writing. A number of items have heartened me greatly, antidotes to the doom and gloom. Admittedly, these items initially appear to have more to do with the political climate than with the disasters of global weather shifts…. Yet…. unless we we change the political thrust, there is no hope for a calmer, peaceful planet.

So here’s the Good Stuff, the reasons to be cheerfully optimistic…..

In the last few months, our valiant basher of Uncle Trump has increased her subscribers from 143,000 to 200,000+. Good on yer Mary !

22 March. theconversation.com hailed the ever increasing number of fossil fuel employees QUITTING BECAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE….

27 March. CNN published a great story on messrs Clinton & and Obama giving their powerful support to Joe Biden.

27 March. weownit.org.uk announced a funding drive for a campaign to wrest the Royal Mail from Private Milking Shareholders & Fat cat C.E.O.’s back to Public Ownership. Already the funding has reached it’s target ! Hurray !!

28 March. Ex Labour P.M. Gordon Brown says, via the Guardian, that he has a plan to raise billions to reverse Tory inflicted poverty. Said plan appears to have merits, and at least it’s one more plan than Starmer’s bunch have come up with.

28th March. CNN tell us about Marilyn Rands, the DEMOCRAT THAT WILL WIN ALABAMA, by campaigning on reproductive rights. Now that’s another tide to sweep away the GOP nasties.

29th March. The Guardian informs us that Crystal Mason, who had been sentenced to 5 year in prison for a genuine voter mistake has finally been acquitted. Heart warming news for black voters…

31st March. On U-Tube I discovered a short video that had me in stitches….. It will probably do the same for you !! Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clark, a 21 year old Maori is the youngest female M.P. to be elected to the New Zealand Parliament in 170 years. She startled the house by performing a Haka. If you don’t know what that is, then take a look, be delighted !!! Ten Million+ views already chortling. Join us…..

My Decision then :-

In May last Year I started my Substack, with the intention of “See how it goes”, and I am reasonably happy to continue for the foreseeable future. Also last May I had a nasty accident, with long term effects, which in turn have resulted in weakening my ability to deal with this recent bout of food poisoning. I now need to spend more time on physical training, so for a while will still be posting my Wednesday stories, and comments on Notes. As I get fitter, my Sunday climate posts will presently return in another format, later this summer. More detail as I work it out….
