“Surround yourself with people who talk about visions and ideas” Akin Olokun.
On the 10th of Feb, under “Reconsidering the Thrust”, I wrote of the need for a mass co-ordination of writers and goodhearted promotors, to push Intelligent Working Solutions. Then on the 24th Feb, I followed up with “Tsunami Event Horizon”, where I spoke of Suzanne Taylors efforts to bring bring good writers together. That impetus bought contributions from 175 authors on How to Save the World. An incredible result for a campaign of just five weeks. The Prize winners have now been announced, and….. Guess what - the momentum is still building. My role here is to find inspirational writers, innovative thinkers - and grass roots groups who are already making a difference. And to promote them. To build a network to Save Our World.
How can you help ? Please send me contact details of such writers, thinkers and groups - and / OR - Share or restack these Sunday posts, via all the media where you are already busy.
Working Together can build miracles….. Perhaps the example of Songs around the World will convince you, just type in www.playingforchange.org
Thankyou for being here, more soon. Peace, Maurice.
Food for thought about organizing. I had ideas of my own before I invited people to share theirs in my essay contest you've been so supportive of. A basic one is a Coalition of People for the Good: Huge masses become signatory to being in a coalition of like-minded people whose purpose is to shift our paradigm. It would be a force, like taking to the streets but easier, to shift to where caring for each other is as important as caring about ourselves.
That could be for individuals and also all the organizations dealing with this shift we need! But it needs a strong call that would have to be thought-out to make it into the powerful entity it could be.
Good morning Suzanne, may I suggest that the call is already out there., you have 175 ambassadors already. Clearly there is an appetite. Feed them your ideas, particularly now, and ask for theirs - on strengthening further dissemination. Emphasizing Mutual Care as the Key. Some of the essays mention real public figures as having "done" their bit. How can we reach those figures ?, who amongst us have the means to contact them ? Would they accept a stakeholder role ? How many media hosts would interview them ?
