Today I relaunch an updated series of six Articles on this theme. First published on Maurice’s substack over a year ago. Rather than an extended one-off post, I wish to allow interested readers time to contemplate each section, and perhaps comment or place questions

Although a great deal of mitigation is already underway, it is as yet, barely surface scratching. Reversal beats mitigation. Far too much hype, greenwashing, is intentionally obscuring the fact that there are, really, only three choices -

Peaceful protest does of course have its legitimate place - I am no advocate of Violence - There is a less confrontational way, already taking root, although inadequately reported. Together, we can change that.

Here’s Step One.

Denying the Shockingly Dangerous situation Our World is in - is not intelligent. Neither is leaving it to “Others” to resolve, it is up to us all………

ie:- Make it Personal. Think hard about where YOU, Personally would place the blame. Handwrite a list, No persons, no companies. Read it over, Prioritise and rewrite in Groups. Here’s Mine :-

Big Food

Big Pharma

Global Economy

Consumerism

Construction

Corruption

Media

ME !

Your list will help you focus, Here’s an anecdote :- (Keep your Cool)

I recently read an article on environmental issues, which had hundreds of responses. Peppered with much emotional misinformation and often wandering way off the point. Almost all blaming “OTHERS” …….. when we are all consumers…………

I just thought “Hey Folks, Y’all wanna Yell ? Huh ? Try Yelling MEA CULPA”

And try consuming less. Ask yourself - To take responsible action or to scream abuse, To be an Example or a Warning. Which has the greater value ? Huh ??

Now think about handwriting your own list - Make a start.

AUTHORS NOTE :- As I s typing at 1700hrs in Nederland, I notice the thermometer outside my garden door shows 43c / 104f., but the weather report states only 30c / 83f.
