FREE BOOKS AND ARTPRINTS, A THANKYOU
Hallo Dear Readers. In my 10 months on Substack I have read numerous views on payments to authors; here’s mine:- In an ideal world Knowledge should be freely shared, whilst Entertainment should be supported. But this is not an Ideal World.
Ergo, one must compromise, which means that I will continue to write for free, and trust that some subscribers may Volunteer to donate. Then again, today’s financial climate makes it difficult for many to commit to regular monthly payments, which is why I am offering a 70% on an annual subscription. Why now ? …. It’s to celebrate the caring, sharing attitude of Suzanne Taylor’s Essay Contest - and my delight at being able to assist in creating the incredible response from our wonderful community of Substack Authors. The discount is permanent to those who take it up by 17th March.
As many of you will be aware, my personal thankyou to All Paid Subscribers is my offer, Completely FREE, of items from my huge collection of books & artprints. For the next round I’ll start adding my postcard collection. Lists will be added to and sent out four times a year, with a ten day window to send your requests. This round is open from 15th to 24th March.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS :- Select any four Books OR any four Artprints, in order of preference. I will do my best to send you Two, to any address in the world (selecting four helps me to resolve the problem of two separate requests for the same book). First come first served.
CONDITION :- Books can vary between “Reasonable” and “Like New” (Some tolerance must be allowed for older books). I don’t differentiate. Artprints are “Like New” ex-Gallery, Classic to modern artists, inc myself. Nor do I differentiate over the original retail values of anywhere between 50 pence to 50 pounds UK.
FREQUENCY :- Dispatch is four times a year, via POST NL (The Official Dutch Post Office). Next Dispatch is 28-29 March. N.B. Please submit your requests by email to biz3d.art@gmail.com Between the 15th and 24th March.
NOTIFICATIONS OF EACH ROUND :- To be posted approx ten days prior.
UPDATED LISTS :- Four Sundays per year.
ELIGIBILITY :- Any monthly or annual Paid subscription.
FAIR PLAY :- Please do not request these thankyou gifts more than once a year. That said, I may occasionally offer a waiver.
CUSTOMS TAXES :- Where a Customs Label is required, it will state low value second hand gift.

Hi Suzanne, I inherited a library, inc many rare and antique books in 2011. No I have not been able to read quite as many as I would have liked to. There were then 5,000+, I still have about a third of them. Erm, my logic says I would have more space to display my art prints. Even so I want to move to a much larger place in a remote area of France, to house a community of 30 to 40 people on a hectare or two. Alternative building tech, permaculture, workshops, gallery, a peaceful haven for thinkers, artists, & especially for authors who can write about these things. Planning to cycle & camp the country searching for a spot this summer. Put it all on Substack as I travel. Night night, Maurice
Omg, have you read all those wonderful books? You go on, never ceasing to amaze me. If you are widely taken up on your offer, logic says you can save money by moving to a smaller home!
